Goodbye 2021!

At Drama Tots we like to celebrate our wins; from a kind comment about our classes, to winning national awards. As the year comes to an end, we have reflected on some of our highlights and cherished moments.

Here are our 2021 highlights:

Online classes: “a welcome ray of sunshine into our lockdown”

We began 2021 by spreading the joy of Drama Tots to families and nurseries through our online classes due to the national lockdown. We also produced extra creative and educational activity content to support families during a challenging time. One family even said the Drama Tots song was the soundtrack to their lockdown!

We were honoured to be able to bring families together from across the world through online birthday parties. Thanks to the wonders of technology, these boys were able to celebrate with their grandparents in India as well as their friends in the UK! It has been a privilege to host such special events throughout the pandemic.

Staying connected and keeping morale high

Throughout 2021, we held regular virtual meetings with our franchisees and teachers. This has been particularly important during the pandemic to allow us to support and encourage each other and to keep morale high. We had fun creating a Zoom recording of one of our original songs; 5 Little Pigs!

Return to normality

When restrictions eased in April, we returned to our classes with great excitement! Look at the fun we’ve had:

As we emerged from isolation, it was crucial for the well-being and mental health of children to be able to socialise and play. Drama Tots recognised the importance of this and we created a Summer of Fun programme to support families over the summer months.

Our growing Drama Tots family!

In 2021, we welcomed new franchisees Donna and Lauri to our Drama Tots family. They run classes within the Suffolk, Norfolk and Nottinghamshire areas. Current franchisees have also grown their businesses due to the demand for classes by taking on teachers. Rebecca from Drama Tots Solihull welcomed Roberta to her team! We are thrilled that our Drama Tots family is growing, enabling us to reach more children with our award-winning classes.

Starting School

We are proud to have created a special Starting School session to support children in their transition to school. With school settling in sessions cancelled, we wanted to help young children and their families by exploring school routines in the Drama Tots way! To complement this session, we published our first Drama Tots book! Our Starting School Activity Book is full of activities for children and tips for parents.

What’s On 4 Kids Awards 2021

Drama Tots were delighted to win two What’s On 4 Kids Awards at the 15th annual ceremony! We were awarded Most Loved Performing Arts Activity 2021 and our franchisee Leanne Joab was announced as Most Loved Activity Leader. We are filled with gratitude knowing that Drama Tots brings joy to so many!

Other award successes in 2021 include Sam Thompson from Drama Tots Kenilworth, Leamington and Warwick winning the Most Innovative Performing Arts Provider at the Lux Life Magazine awards and Kate Medhurst from Drama Tots Basingstoke who was a finalist for the Best Children’s Activity Class in Hampshire at the Little Ankle Biters Awards.

Festive fun!

We ended the year with our Christmas parties! We had such fun dancing around the Christmas tree, catching snow and dancing the Reindeer Hokey Cokey! We love Christmas at Drama Tots!

To the nurseries, childminders, pre-schools and early years settings that we attend; We love enhancing the provision that you offer with our educational programme. We are proud to be part of your extra-curricular timetables.

Finally, to our franchisees and teachers: Thank you for all that you do. Drama Tots was created from passion, hard work and dreams. I couldn’t wish to be surrounded by a more supportive, dedicated and kind team of amazing individuals. Through your classes the children in your local communities are gaining confidence, creativity and skills that will last them a lifetime.
